The International Women’s Convocation is planning a two-day facilitated U*U women’s gathering in metropolitan Boston, September 22 to 24, 2018.

The event, Many Voices/ United Vision: A Collaboration of U*U Women, will bring together U*U organizations that have an interest in issues of concern to women. The planning team is comprised of representatives of the International Women’s Convocation (IntlWomensConvo.org), the UU Women’s Federation (uuwf.org), and the UU Women and Religion (uuwr.org).

We are expecting approximately 40 women participants, representatives of UU women’s organizations, U*U organizations focusing on women’s rights and gender equality, or individuals whose perspectives/experiences will be valuable given the purpose of the meeting. The meeting is an opportunity to share experience, expertise, and insights as we unite our voices to strengthen collaboration among U*U women and lay out strategies for a joint vision and collective action.

Aims and Objectives:

–    Bring the leadership of U.S. U*U women’s organizations and other UU women’s voices together to engage in a planning process;
–    Develop an understanding of how each organization functions and what it is doing to advance women’s human rights;
–    Explore how our organizations can work together to strengthen women’s voices and women’s leadership in our movement;
–    Build positive and productive working relationships;
–    Build a joint vision;
–    Lay out possible paths of collaboration;
–    Establish a common course of action.
